Tahira Kashyap Opens Up When Ayushmann Khurrana Drank Her Breast Milk As ‘Protein’

The author and director, who has been married to Ayushmann Khurrana for almost 13 years, recently shared a hilarious story about pumping milk for her firstborn kid, Virajveer. In her book ‘The 7 Sins of Being a Mother,’ Tahira wrote about the time she was expressing milk for her kid while on a trip, which he ended up using by Ayushmann for pumping up protein.
Tahira shared some more amusing parenthood tales
Tahira revealed some more of her sins as a new mother, including forgetting her infant at a restaurant, which caused her to reconsider her parental perspective.
In addition, she shared a personal recollection of the birth of her son. In an Instagram Live with fellow mom Neha Dhupia, she revealed one of the first things she learnt after giving birth, implying that she didn’t feel her maternal instincts kick in right away when Virajveer was born.
“When the baby came out after 12 hours of intense labour, the doctor was just looking at me like, ‘Yeh lo apna bachcha (Here, take your baby).’ And I refused to open my arms. All those feelings that I had read about in the books, also heard from my mother and grandmother, all the tales of mother’s love, kuch aaya hi nahi (I didn’t feel anything). And I just didn’t want to be pretentious about it. My son and my doctor, both of them are just staring at me. And the maximum I could do was, I just wriggled my nose against his and I was like, ‘Now you can take him to his family.’ And the doctor was mortified. ‘What do you mean, his family?’ I was like, ‘Baaki ki family (The rest of the family)”
Tahira’s Breast Milk for Virajveer ended up digested by his father Ayushmann
Tahira and Ayushmann had gone on a little honeymoon to Bangkok after their kid was born and was left with her parents, according to the tale narrated by Tahira herself. Tahira was surprised to discover the milk bottles almost empty when expressing her milk for her kid to feed later. When she inquired about the strange situation of the missing milk supply, Ayushmann responded with a smile.

“My boy (Ayushmann) was relaxing in the bedroom having his protein shake. I asked him about the curious case of the missing breast milk and he smirked while chugging his shake and wiping his moustache. ‘What?! Did you just drink it?’ His only response was that it had the perfect temperature, was highly nutritious and blended perfectly with his protein shake.”
At the time, her sole reaction was to scream ‘yikes!’
Breastmilk, which is often regarded as the finest source of nourishment for infants, is high in proteins, calories, and antibodies. Adults drinking breast milk is a growing health craze, believe it or not, so Ayushmann’s case may not have been as unusual as it seems. Several bodybuilders, no matter how strange or controversial it may sound, rely on the various advantages of breastmilk.
She went on to say that this experience still makes her laugh as her husband kept through on his promise to make the trip ‘memorable.’
Tahira also stated that because her son, Virajveer, was only 6-7 months old at the time, she had to express a lot of breastmilk, which she did in unusual locations such as washrooms during a travelling to feed her child. Needless to say, the mother of two took pains to keep the bottles out of her husband’s sight:
“Now each time I had to express during the trip, I hid the bottle from the gym- going, protein shake-drinking, breast milk-stealing freak.”
Tahira and Ayushmann have been married for almost a decade. They have a boy named Virajveer and a daughter named Varushka.
On the job front, Tahira will be starting her directorial career by directing “Sharmaji Ki Beti,” a Bollywood film starring Sakshi Tanwar, Divya Dutta, and Saiyami Kher.
