The dark side that Bollywood has is beyond scary. It is full of negativity, conspiracy theories, and whatnot. Several celebs have started to come forward in order to share their side of the story.
How they experienced the ugly side of Bollywood. A Bollywood that is full of gangism, groupism, and nepotism. If you are curious to know these celebs then you are at the right place. Here is a curated list of 20 celebs who became prey to gangism and nepotism in Bollywood.
1. Priyanka Chopra Jonas shared how she was cornered in Bollywood
PeeCee recently came forward in order to explain why she quit Bollywood and moved to America. In a conversation with Dax Shepherd on his podcast Armchair Expert, she said as we quote,
“I was being pushed into a corner in the industry (Bollywood). I had people not casting me, I had beef with people, I am not good at playing that game so I kind of was tired of the politics and I said I needed a break.”
She further added,
“This music thing gave me an opportunity to go into another part of the world, not crave for the movies I didn’t want to get but I would require to schmooze certain clubs and cliques of people. It would require groveling and I had worked a long time by then that I didn’t feel like I wanted to do it. So when this music thing came I was like ‘fu** it I am going to America.”
2. Ranvir Shorey shared how he was professionally and socially isolated in Bollywood
Even after starring in a number of high-profile films, Ranvir Shorey shared that he was constantly isolated in B-town. He was traumatized to the extent that he went out of India to find some peace. This was because of his issues with the Bhatts. He shared as quoted in the Hindustan times,
“Yes, that (Bhatts) is what I am talking about. I was professionally and socially isolated, equally pressured from all ends. Every chance and every platform they would get, they would be lying about me, saying I am an alcoholic and abuser. You feel so helpless and powerless because these people are so powerful that the press will just listen to them and not even bother calling you for your side of the story. You just feel so helpless and frustrated because you can’t do anything about it. It got really toxic for me at the time and I had to leave the country for a while.”
3. A. R. Rahman shared that a “gang” is the reason why he is doing fewer Bollywood projects
Legendary musician AR Rahman also faced gangism in B-town. He revealed why he is doing fewer Bollywood projects while talking to Radio Mirchi. He said as we quote,
“I don’t say no to good movies, but I think there is a gang, which, due to misunderstandings, is spreading some false rumors.”

This scared the distributors from buying my film. Reliance Entertainment and I were capable and courageous enough to release the film ourselves but the battle had just begun. My enemies, which there were many ran a sustained negative Trolling and badmouthing campaign against the film till the Box Office of my film collapsed.”
7. Sona Mohapatra shared how even after a huge hit like “Ambarsariya” she never got another chance in B-town
Ambarsariya from Fukrey was one of the major blockbuster songs that still live in the hearts of many. Sona Mohapatra did an impeccable job. Regardless of this, it did not open any new doors of opportunities for her. She made a Tweet which she soon deleted in order to clarify, her previous Tweet went like this,
“Not very subtle.( FYI, Ambarsariya; both Javed & Farhan Akhtar were hostile/hated it. Only song Excel didn’t bother to shoot a music video for, montage got cut after much. Long story there but of course it’s no surprise why I never got a ‘second chance’. Stood up to the master.”
Clarification was,
Deleted a previous tweet I had written in the conversation. Realised I’d rather keep names out of conversations & not fall into a trap of pettiness or fuel trolling. There is a systemic issue in the industry. Hoping open conversations & reflection on all sides help a change. 🙏🏾

12. Ram Sampath went through a tough phase because of the groupism

He further talked about how this industry has no respect for outsiders. He said as we quote,
“How come I survived in this industry, an industry that doesn’t have respect for people from outside? So much so, if a good film is getting bad box office then forget about the industry as they will anyway criticize you whether you make a good film or a bad film, whether you give a good performance or a bad performance — the mainstream critics and the trade analysts will jump on it and they will try to prove that it’s a bad film because the box office is not that great.”
These are some of the celebs who became prey to groupism, gangism, and nepotism. There of course are many who do not even get the chance to come forward and share their tale. What do you think about it? Will this dark side of Bollywood ever come to an end? Do tell us via the comments below.

However, it also raised questions about the identity of the finger. A lot of people made theories about whose finger it was and what happened to the person. Now, after some investigation, the mystery surrounding the finger discovered in the ice cream has been resolved.
The mystery behind the human finger in ice cream has been solved
Earlier this month, a shocking discovery was made when a severed human finger was found in an ice cream. Now, the mystery behind the finger has been solved. According to a DNA report released on 27th June, it was Omkar Pote’s finger. He is an assistant operator manager at Fortune Company in Pune.
The incident traces back to May 11. It was when Pote lost his finger of his right hand while packing ice cream. This date and the ice cream cone’s production date matched. After learning about this, the Mumbai Police sued Fortune Company for carelessness.
How was it all unfolding?
The discovery was made on June 12, when Orlem Brendan Serrao, a 26-year-old resident of Malad, was eating a butterscotch ice cream ordered online by his sister.
Sensing something strange, he took a closer look and discovered a human finger in the ice cream while he was enjoying his delicacy. Serrao first complained to the ice cream firm on Instagram, but he didn’t hear back, so he went to the police with the issue.
Speaking about the incident, police said,
“The complainant, a 26-year-old doctor with an MBBS degree living in Malad West, had ordered a Yummo butterscotch ice cream cone. While eating it, he discovered a half-inch piece of flesh with a nail.”
The Mumbai Police’s inquiry took them to the Pune ice cream plant, where Pote had been hurt during production. According to the police, DNA samples were taken from Pote and transferred to the forensic science lab. Additionally, the finger itself was transferred to the Kalina Forensic Science Lab. Subsequently, a case was filed against the managers of Yummo Ice Cream Company.
What does the company have to say about the incident?
Responding to the incident, Fortune Dairy’s owner, Manoj Tupe, said his company is cooperating with the inquiry and awaiting the DNA test results. He said that government teams have been dispatched to Ghaziabad and Jaipur, among other units, to conduct additional verification about the ice cream cone filling process.
In response to the incident, Yummo Ice Creams issued a statement, saying,
“We have stopped manufacturing at this third-party facility, isolated the said product at the facility and our warehouses, and are in the process of doing the same at the market level. Product quality and safety being our highest priority, we were in process to address the situation. Meanwhile, the matter was escalated, and an official police complaint was filed by the customer.”
Meanwhile, After this occurrence, the Fortune Dairy factory in Indapur received a stop-work notice from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).

CA Aspirant’s Friend Asks For ‘Free’ ITR Filing; Their Conversation Goes Viral
[ad_1]
The deadline for filing Income Tax Returns (ITR) for the assessment year 2024-25 is nearing (July 31). Most people need the help of someone who is good with accounts and tax filing to assist them during this time of the year. Chartered Accountants (CA) and CA aspirants are often sought after by their friends and family to file Income Tax Returns (ITR).
Recently, Manthan Raichura, a CA aspirant, took to X (formerly Twitter) to vent his frustration
This week, a Chartered Accountancy (CA) aspirant took to his X (formerly Twitter) account and shared his opinion on how some acquaintances remember you only during their time of need.
Raichura shared a chat screenshot of himself and an old acquaintance who had not been in touch with him for a long period of time. The conversation started with a simple “Hello” and within some time the actual motive was revealed. Soon the acquaintance requested help with filing his ITR.
The conversation was initiated by the acquaintance who sent a message, and Raichura responded to it with a curious mind unaware of the sudden unknown contact. The acquaintance then replied in Hindi, saying,
“Yes, I wanted to file the ITR.” Raichura immediately cut to the chase, asking for details and fees. The acquaintance responded, “Achaa…fees dena hoga. Kitna? (Oh, I have to pay a fee? How much?)”
Just when Raichura quoted the fee for his help with the ITR, his acquaintance backed out as he was hoping to get the service for free. He left the conversation saying,
“Rehn de (leave it)”
Raichura shared the screenshot of the WhatsApp chat and wrote,
“I take no shame in asking for ITR filing fees. It is that time of the year when some unrelated relatives and old disconnected ‘friends’ will call/text for their selfish reason. Why should I feed my time to keep an inexistent relation?”

— Manthan Raichura 🇮🇳 (@heymanthan) June 23, 2024
He added that no one should feel ashamed to ask for a fee for their hard work and time. The post went viral with over a million views, 11,000 ‘likes’, over 500 re-posts, and over 600 bookmarks.
The post was flooded with comments from netizens. They gave mixed reactions to Raichura’s opinion
One user remarked,
“Bhai, I asked my CA friend to file only after you take money. It is his source of earning; I can’t expect him to do it for free.”

Another user said,
“Same for doctors, bro! Why should such people be given free treatment after spending so many years in medical training? Good one. Keep it up.”

Bohut hi direct hai dost tumhara. Bro didn’t get the sarcasm of Bohut dino baad yaad aayi. 🤡🤣
I have stopped filing for them rather than doing for free. No means no.
— InMESSIonate (@Fan_LFC_FCB) June 23, 2024
One user said that he happily pays his best friend who files his ITR. Several people backed Raichura by saying that no one should offer their service for free.
Even my best friend charges me for filing my ITR, and I pay him happily.
— vikas (@i_am_Nani_vikas) June 24, 2024
Always charge extra from relatives and friends.
Universal balance needs to be restored.
— Ishwar Singh (@IshwarBagga) June 24, 2024
If you have the skills, don’t do it for Free! No one values it – Life lesson 😃
— Blue Prick (@TheBluePrick) June 24, 2024
No such thing as a free lunch, and rightly so 👏🏻
Either people should pay to utilise the skills and time of a professional, or learn and do it themselves.— S. Paul (@paul_sparsh) June 24, 2024
It’s important to set boundaries, especially with those who only reach out when they need something.
— Shobhit G (@shobhitgupta06) June 24, 2024
However, some reactions were not supportive. One user commented,
“Thank God I don’t have a CA friend like you. He’s a friend of 24 years, and we’ve met only thrice in the last 18 years, yet he just asks for my Form 16 and does the honour. I’m blessed I have friends like him.”
Thank God I don’t have a CA friend like you.

I’m blessed I have friends like him.
— Madhav (@ispeakhere_) June 24, 2024
Another user suggested that the decline should be proper and respectful. A CA professional supported the decision of Manthan Raichuria. Another user asked Raichura to disclose the fee he quoted so that they could do the same to sway people.
Disclose the fees. We will also quote the same to done away with 🤣
— Rajat Agarwala (@RjtAg222) June 24, 2024
Very good decision.
— CA Ankit (@caankitnagpal) June 24, 2024
Many users asked Raichura about his quoted fees and he replied to most of them
Depends on nature of Incomes & time required
— Manthan Raichura 🇮🇳 (@heymanthan) June 27, 2024
People are eager to know the fees I quoted. I got many queries asking for fees. Dear all, the fees are based on the efforts that would be required for ITR & the Income you earn (can’t charge ₹5K from a person having income of & 5L) and hence cannot be quoted in general. #ITR
— Manthan Raichura 🇮🇳 (@heymanthan) June 26, 2024
Though ITR filing has been a lot simpler than before, people still look up to professionals for help. Should they offer their service for free? Let us know in the comments.
