The latest Bollywood stars who recently tied the knots are none other than Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani. The chemistry of these two gorgeous beings was evidently visible in Shershaah.

And although Shershaah did not have a jolly ending, Sid-Kiara made sure they have one in their real lives. On 7th February 2023, the couple married one another in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Soon after which they shared adorable announcement posts on Instagram.

You would be astounded to note that Kiara Advani’s real name is Alia Advani. The fact that she chose to change her name was because superstar Salman Khan suggested that doing so would be good. He advised Kiara to change her name as Alia Bhatt was already a prominent name in the industry. Therefore, before making her debut in the industry via Fugly (2014) she changed her name to Kiara.

Now you must be wondering from where did she get the idea to name herself Kiara? Well, back in 2010  Anjaana Anjani came out. The character portrayed by Priyanka Chopra was named Kiara. Therefore, from there our Mrs. Malhotra took inspiration.

Kiara is related to veteran actor Ashok Kumar and former Miss India Juhi Chawla

Another interesting fact about Kiara Advani is that she has some crazy connections with  Ashok Kumar and Juhi Chawla. Talking about the same in an interview Kiara shared as we quote,

“Basically, my grandfather got married and my nani–who he got remarried to, is the daughter of Ashok Kumar. So by marriage, I am related to Ashok Kumar. My grandfather’s brother is Saeed Jaffrey. But the sad part is, I have never met either of them. I got to know more about them, once I told my parents I wanted to get into films.”

She further proceeded to talk about her links with Juhi Chawla, she said,

“My parents are childhood friends with a couple of actors, I had never even met… except for Juhi aunty (Juhi Chawla), who is my father’s childhood friend. She was the only person I met. She is very grounded. I never felt that she was a huge film star, and she was just like my parent’s friends. We would meet at birthday parties.”

Kiara concluded by saying,

“I would be dancing and choreographing dances with her kids. I was one of those kids. All of them would be my backup dancers. That would be the extent of the filminess”.
