The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) Gala’s second day was a grand affair, just like the opening ceremony. The event witnessed the presence of numerous prominent national and international celebrities, who graced the pink carpet for India In Fashion exhibit.
This unique exhibit showcased more than 140 exquisite India-inspired costumes, highlighting the country’s influence on global fashion from the 18th to the 21st century.
The guest list was star-studded, featuring luminaries such as Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, Alia Bhatt, Malaika Arora, Shah Rukh Khan and his family, Ranveer Singh, Zendaya, Tom Holland, Law Roach, Gigi Hadid, Penelope Cruz, Sara Ali Khan, Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Salman Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan and Saba Azad, Karisma Kapoor, Sharvari Wagh, Rekha, Kajol, Arjun Kapoor, and many other renowned personalities.
However, what created more buzz on social media is Varun Dhawan lifting the supermodel Gigi Hadid in his arms, dancing, and then kissing her.
The video of the incident went viral on social media platforms for totally wrong reasons. As soon as it happened, people started criticizing Varun Dhawan very harshly for what he did.

Bollywood celebrities again proved they’re so chapri nd classless.
One of the twitter user @Aditi__U critised Varun for for lifting and kissing Gigi Hadid. In her tweet she wrote,
“If you are a woman, you are not safe anywhere with anyone. Even if you are Gigi Hadid, invited to a party with an “elite” crowd, guys like Varun Dhawan will randomly pick you up and kiss you without your consent, all in the name of fun. Disgusting. (sic)”
Varun Dhawan strongly reacts to one of the trolls and presents his side of the story
Quoting one of his troll’s tweets, Varun Dhawan wrote,
I guess today you woke up and decided to be woke. So lemme burst ur bubble and tell u it was planned for her to be on stage so find a new Twitter cause to vent about rather then going out and doing something about things . Good morning

Varun’s tweet soon becomes the talk of the town with people still reacting to it
While many people took his side, saying that the act must be staged, given the grandness and seriousness of the show, another side is still furious about it, speculating that the kiss might not be staged.
Her coming on stage is not an issue, you kissing her is. If that was also planned, totally fine. If unplanned, without consent, that’s problematic. Hope you clear more air.
Being on stage isn’t equivalent to picking her up. By her expression one could clearly tell she wasn’t expecting it. Stop being so embarrassing all the time.🙏🏻
“planned to be on stage” but not planned to be lifted in an uncomfortable attire and innappropiate way I guess? That looked pathetic, sorry. What culture are you representing to the foreigners?
It was planned to be on the stage but not planned to kiss her and so shameful for these men in the comments trying to defend him for an assault and making it seem normal for people, kapil sharma ka show thori chalra h bc
