PM Narendra Modi Tweet Wins Hearts As Pooja Gehlot Apologies For Winning Bronze At CWG

With six gold, one silver, and five bronze all the 12 Indian wrestlers have been bestowed with one medal each, for their marvelous wins. With this India’s wrestling contingent for the 2022 Commonwealth Games campaign at Birmingham has come to an end.
Out of 5 bronze medalists in wrestling, one is of course Pooja Gehlot. Pooja had a great start in the CWG as he bagged a win against Scotland’s Christelle Lemofack Letchidjio due to technical superiority. But he sadly could not advance into the semi-finals due to a walkover from Rebecca Ndolo Muambo of Cameron.
Later she went against Canada’s Madison Bianca Parks in the semi-final clash 6-9. Finally, she won the bronze medal play-off against Scotland’s Letchidjio 12-2 at the Coventry Arena Wrestling Mat B on Saturday. This win was on the basis of technical superiority and we are immensely proud of her.
On Saturday evening, wrestler Pooja Gehlot made the country proud by winning a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games 2022. However, post winning she got all emotional and said ,
“I apologize to my compatriots. I wished that the National Anthem be played here (in Birmingham)… But I will learn from my mistakes, and work on them.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is often called ‘People’s PM’. While some may or may not agree with the saying one cannot deny that his recent tweet for wrestler Pooja Gehlot is winning everyone’s heart.
PM Narendra Modi congratulated Indian wrestler Pooja on winning bronze in the women’s 50kg category at CWG. He mentioned in the tweet that hers is a journey that is motivating for everyone. He boosted her morale as he tweeted

Modi’s tweet has not just been winning the hearts of Indians but also of people from neighboring lands like Pakistan!
While Pakistan may have its differences from India or PM Modi they are still appreciating the way our Prime Minister acknowledges Indian athletes.
