Starting a restaurant requires a lot of work and many moving parts, from developing an idea that will be successful to locating the perfect location, decorating, equipping, and training staff.
However, finding top-notch employees who can successfully carry out their ideas while producing excellent food and offering first-rate customer service is by far the most difficult challenge confronted by restaurant owners.
While we all know that without workers, a restaurant simply cannot function, hiring anyone will not ensure the success of your business. All that you want is the finest talent, and that is what you seek.
It is a well-known statistic that 60% to 80% of independently owned restaurants fail during the first three to five years of operation. Even if not all causative factors are related to whether you recruited the proper employees or not, it undoubtedly makes a difference.
When we look at the employees of successful franchises such as McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, Domino’s, or Burger King, we certainly find out what sets them apart, and maybe that’s one of the reasons why people would love to visit them even if they faced flack on several issues.

One of the values of this contemporary life that we need from others is compassion for us and for those who are around us. The world needs more of it, whether it’s giving someone a helping hand or lighting them up with knowledge. And most of the restaurants’ staff know this.
That’s why, for all the right reasons, one recent LinkedIn post has gone viral. The post shows how Burger King made its way into the hearts of millions of people. Though it seems to be a small gesture, the impact it made on our minds is worth more than a burger.
The Burger King staff’s video of giving burgers to poor girl has gone viral
The wealth disparity is growing, just like it does in every country. What is necessary to one person may really be a luxury to another. This is why the post published by chartered accountant Manish Balani received more than 56K likes and has been receiving praise consistently.
A little girl just entered the Burger King restaurant in Noida, close to the Botanical Garden Metro Station. The girl approached the counter, pulled out a note worth Rs. 10 from her pocket, and ordered a burger. However, the burger costs Rs 90.
The staff member at the counter did something exceptional that is deserving of all praise instead of reprimanding or ignoring the girl. Before giving the girl the burger, the guy withdrew Rs 80 out of his pocket. The man kept the small child unaware of the cost of the burger.
With the burger in hand and a broad expression of happiness on her face, the girl continued walking
When all of this was happening, a journalist who was dining there witnessed it. He took a quick photo of the little girl working the counter. Balani later distributed the picture.
As soon as it was published, the post on Balani’s LinkedIn page drew a variety of responses, with many people praising the worker’s kind act, while others brushed it off as a brand-building tactic and accused Balani of getting paid for this article.
What do you think about this incident? Do you think it’s staged or not?
