Vande Bharat Express is one of the fastest trains in our country. The super-fast train runs at an operating speed of 160 km/h. The train looks stylish and has a lot of amenities for its passengers. In spite of that, there have been several occasions when the passengers have faced certain difficulties and have complained about their services. This time again the high-speed train services didn’t live up to expectations. On Sunday, on the Delhi-Bhopal Vande Bharat train a piece of polythene was found inside a food packet served on the train.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off The Vande Bharat Express between Bhopal and Delhi in April from Rani Kamalapati railway station in Bhopal. Previously, a Vande Bharat Express train passenger who happened to be a journalist shared a video of a person showcasing the bad quality of food served on the high-speed train. The food served had high oil content and the quality of the food was poor on the premium train.

On another occasion, a passenger named Viresh Narkar raised the problem that the cornflakes were covered with dust. The picture added showed specks of what appeared to be dust in his bowl of cornflakes.

This time a video shared by a Twitter user showed a piece of polythene inside a food packet served on the Delhi-Bhopal Vande Bharat train

Sunil Sharma’s tweet shows a passenger taking out the polyethene piece from a paneer dish with a spoon. The food was served in a disposable aluminum foil container. He also shared a photo of the complaint to the Railways catering unit tagging Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.

A woman passenger, Dr. Shobha Patel lodged a written complaint which says,

“Polythene piece of size 4×4 in paneer dish. Food served at 8 pm after Jhansi station”

Railway Seva replied to the man’s tweet and stated that the complaint had been registered successfully

The tweet read,

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw also responded to the image and instructed the concerned officials to revise the cleaning procedure in these trains. He stressed on adopting the cleaning process as practiced in flights. Vaishnaw stated in a tweet that the cleaning system has been modified in Vande Bharat trains and sought people’s cooperation in maintaining cleanliness in the trains.
