And people do agree to this! With a rating of 8 on IMDb, the movie won hearts.
2. Flight – 7.2
A very underrated and low-key film that was released on 2nd April 2021. The genre of the film is an action thriller and the movie is based on a man who was on a plane and he struggled to fight a deadly situation that occurred on a plane.
Starring Ranveer Malhotra the film was one of the best to release this year and already has an IMDb rating of 7.2, making it a must-watch for people.
3. Nail Polish – 7.3
The film is a ZEE5 original story and released in 2021, where Arjun Rampal made his comeback in the industry making it a beehive of a talk among the people. The genre of the film is a legal thriller drama and the rating for this film on IMDB is 7.3.
It also has some sub plots to it, but the main plot that gets highlighted the most here is about a social activist who is accused of murdering and raping two children and several other murders along the line.
4. Sherni – 6.8
The main theme of the film is wildlife conservation and the importance of saving the same. Vidya Balan has seen as the main lead in this film and on IMDB the film has a rating of 6.8.
5. Pagglait – 6.9
The genre of the film is a black comedy-drama. The main role was played by Sanya Malhotra where he faced losing her husband and how did she overcome that nightmare of a situation. Though it is probably the worst kind of hurt to see the one passing away and moving on from that kinda mess up is very difficult, the film was revolving around the same but it did highlight some unusual plots as well. The film received a rating of 6.9 on IMDB.
6. Sardar Udham – 9
In recent years we experienced numerous movies, either some over dramatic biopic or extreme patriotic melodrama, are coming out with the same silly prototype to capture a certain portion of the audience. Some are decent, some are below average and most of them are unbearable with otherworldly odd VFX and WhatsApp status special love songs no one asked for!
In this suffocating condition of biographical movies, to break the sinister prototype skeleton, a cinematic revolution was much needed. Shoojit Sircar brought it with a masterstroke named Sardar Udham! With one of the most different and off-topic film.
7. Skater Girl – 6.6
The film and the cast of the film is a very underrated one indeed. But the story will surely blow your mind and make your teary eyes. It talks about something very unusual, confidence, and the hunger to fetch one’s dream. The film has a rating of 6.6 on IMDB.
8. Aadhaar – 7.7
The film is based on a man in the village is the first one to make an Aadhar card. With a rating of 7.7, though the plot is very uncommon and wasn’t expected to be into a film, it did and was kind of a good one as per the rating on IMDb.
9. Ajeeb Daastaans – 6.7
The film is divided into 4 parts and each part was directed by a different director. And actors played a very good role in the film, earning this film a rating of 6.7 on IMDB. It made a very well entry onto the Netflix platform.
10. Tribhanga: Tedhi Medhi Crazy – 6.1
Kajol, Mithila Palkar, and Tanvi Azmi were seen to be playing the lead roles in the film. It was released in January 2021, and the film is about three women and their life choices that did not leave them with many choices for their personal life. The film had a rating of 6.1 on IMDB.
11. Shershaah – 8.7
Undoubtedly one of the best films made in 2021. Though the film is about patriotism, it did not have too much of it highlighted making the whole plot blind. It had a fair share of story and most of them was the true story narrated by the family of Captain Vikram Batra. Siddhart Malhotra and Kiara Advani were seen to be a part of the film and it has a rating of 8.7 on IMDB. A must watch, indeed!
