8 Bollywood Stars Who Used Body Double For The Action Scenes In Films

Though Bollywood is full of action scenes and roles that end up giving the audiences some adrenaline boost. It is not always done by the actors themselves. They use the help of their body-double, who allegedly plays all the dangerous and tricky stunts. Some actors themselves back off from acting the stunts out, while some get cold feet before the shooting starts and end up shying off from playing the role.

Below are some of the actors who used stunt doubles for their action scenes in films:

1. Katrina Kaif

In the song Bang Bang, there were quite a few action scenes, which was primarily planned for Katrina to do, but then before the shooting started the actor got cold feet and backed off from doing the scene. Thus her replacement was used to shoot the action scenes.

2. Nandita Das

The movie, Fire had a lot of intimate and sensual scenes. Nandita Das was the lead actor in the movie and a lot of controversial statements rose as the scenes came up. But in reality, the scenes were acted out by her body double.

3. Hrithik Roshan

Though Mohenjo Daro had a lot of mistakes and the film itself was a very controversial film, the fact that made it more controversial was Hrithik using a body double for the stunt scenes.

4. Salman Khan

Salman has utilized his body double in a lot of films. Obviously, there are scenes that are really dangerous, and might not be possible for an actor to take that much risk.
Parvez Kazi played the role of Salman’s body doubles in a lot of films, especially for the action scenes.

5. Hema Malini

Basanti’s iconic scene was not done by Hema. Though we did think it was her cause of the way the scene got cinematographed, it wasn’t Hema. Reshma, her body double acted in few of the scenes in Sholay.

6. Varun Dhawan

Varun Dhawan himself became a body double for Jimmy Shergill in My Name Is Khan. It wasn’t known until it was recently posted by a media channel and everyone was stunned.

7. Abhishek Bachchan

In the film Raavan there were a lot of stunt scenes and Abhishek backed out of those and didn’t want to act those out. Thus a body double was used for those scenes.

8. Shah Rukho h Khan

In the film Shakti, SRK hurt himself. Thus in the film Don, he obviously couldn’t act out the stunt scenes which were dangerous indeed. This he used a body double of those scenes.
