In some ways, we’ve been cultured to anticipate certain things from Bollywood, since the innumerable films released year after year will their marks on the whole subcontinent’s subconsciousness.

We expected brilliance from established filmmakers, as well as outstanding performances from skilled actors and actresses. Sometimes Bollywood lives up to the high standards it has set for itself, and other times, things don’t always go as planned.

Many of the performers who have performed the title character have been successful, and there have been several outstanding performances throughout history. Unfortunately, not all of the talent drawn by Bollywood has been put to good use. Indeed, many talented performers have been wasted throughout the years, particularly in recent films.

Because no one is flawless, it’s reasonable that things don’t always go as planned. That isn’t to say that we don’t occasionally leave theatres unsatisfied and saddened by what might have been. Unfortunately, even the best performers make terrible professional decisions from time to time, and their skills are sometimes wasted on films that are unworthy of their excellence.

Here are a few of our greatest bad movies with fantastic star casts:

1. Thugs of Hindostan – 2018

This film, which featured Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Ronit Roy, and Lloyd Owen, was, to put it mildly, unimpressive.
